KBIS: Looking Ahead for Upcoming Remodeling Trends

Last week, a portion of the Case Indy design team journeyed out to Las Vegas to learn more about the latest industry trends, technologies and leading products in home remodeling at the 2015 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders’ Show (IBS). Here’s what we learned……

Geometric Shaped Tile:

Geometric shaped tile was a major trend shown in both kitchens and bathrooms. These bold looks can either be used on their own or used as accent tile. Here’s what we found:

Technology Innovations:

Technology continued to make its mark on the home remodeling industry. We saw everything from wireless charging surfaces, under-cabinet modular tracks, to new advancements in universal design in the kitchen!

Contemporary Design:

Contemporary design seemed to be especially big in bathroom remodeling! It was all about clean lines and floating fixtures. Here is a closer look at some of the interesting floating vanities, wall-mounted toilets, free-standing tubs and modern shower designs featured at KBIS:

Indoor/Outdoor Living:

Opening up the home from the indoors to the outdoors was also a big trend seen at KBIS. LaCantina Doors featured an innovative option of converting a window into an open bar – very cool!
